# Markdown Lake A "markdown lake" is a giant folder full of markdown files that acts as a database for a note-taking tool. Both Obsidian and LogSeq operate on Markdown lakes. Ultimately, I believe this will turn out to be a failed pattern. A peritext-powered [[CRDTs]] might work, though!
